In the April issue of Glamour, Katie Holmes revealed that she was working on a line of designer children’s clothes with her gal-pal and stylist Jeanne Yang. What better way to guarantee her daughter, Suri, is never off trend?
“We started about a year ago, sketching different things, trying to find comfortable clothing for our daughters that is also pretty and cute. We just started, and we’ve played around with doing things for women as well.”
And late yesterday, Elle.com’s Twitter confirmed the report. It seems the designer kids-wear market is one of the few resilient sectors of the fashion world these days! We previously told you about Kevin Federline‘s dubious foray into kiddie design, and while it probably goes without saying, we have eons more confidence in Holmes ability to create some chic, adorable, and over-priced toddler threads. Have you guys seen Suri? Girl never has a bad hair day. Or a bad any-kind-of-look day. (Then again, she’s two.) And we’re even more interested in what kind of sleek, Posh-Spice-meets-jet-setting-young-Mom attire she might have to offer for the grown-ups. Hard to believe our little Joey Potter has come this far. It seems like only yesterday she was rocking American Eagle shorts and madly in love with Joshua Jackson. (Admittedly, we do yearn for those good old days. Win some, lose some.)

“I can’t wait to see what it’ll look like. Maybe I’ll choose her line to dress my daughter in.”
“Oh So Fabulous!!”
