Yet another high-end fashion brand that is pushing ahead in the face of the economic downturn is Miu Miu, as it is set to open its third New York store today.
The store will open on 57th Street, indicating its continued growth and expansion ever since being opened in 1992.
Patrizio Bertelli, Prada’s chairman and chief executive officer, told WWD: “Miu Miu, with its strong and independent identity, has reached in just a few years a worldwide success and recognition.
“The growth registered in all its sectors confirms its position as one of the global reference brands in the luxury industry. The opening of the new store on 57th Street in New York is consistent with this approach and with the brand’s values.”
Miu Miu fans will be able to get their hands on all the the autumn/winter 08 goodies, as modeled by Johnny Depp’s partner Vanessa Paradis in the campaign, including the fabulous black cut-out dresses and colored jackets.
